Financial Information
Membership in all sororities comes with associated costs. All ZTA collegians pay national and local dues and fees each semester of membership. Zeta Tau Alpha adheres to our national financial policies regarding financial management. ZTA uses Billhighway for all membership billing. Members typically receive invoice notices via email on the first of each month.
For most chapters, all dues and semester fees are billed and due in three equal installments the first three months of each semester. Chapters billing quarterly will be billed Aug./Sept., Jan./Feb., and Apr./May. Billing for t-shirts, tickets, registrations, and other miscellaneous items are billed each month the charge was incurred and are those purchases are optional to members in most cases. Sisters who need extended payment arrangements have the opportunity to discuss these options with chapter leadership upon joining the chapter.
Financial transparency is a crucial aspect of our recruitment process and we want to make sure you feel confident and informed as you consider joining our sisterhood. Covered below is what our dues look like, where they go, living requirements, and varying scholarship and financial assistance options.
Dues are likely to change slightly per year, but the previous year's dues and what they cover break down as follows:
New Member Fee: $80
First Semester Dues: $1300
Out of House Dues: $1451 Fall Semester, $1400 Spring Semester
In House Dues: $7361 Fall Semester, $7310 Spring Semester
The new member fee is what covers the events and education that new members go through in the first few weeks of joining our chapter. The majority of dues are towards the events in our chapter from sisterhood events, to philanthropy fundraiser events. The national initiation fee is a one time fee.
It is important to know that Zeta has a live-in requirement of one year. Housing is included within your in-house dues.
Zeta is here to make these financial commitments more manageable. From Zeta scholarships or financial plans, or the opportunity for reduced dues, we are willing to work with your needs throughout your involvement in our sisterhood.
